I’m have a several issues I’m trying to figure out and I’m hoping someone can help. I am using the JM Deco template installed on Magento 1.7.0.2.
The first problem I have deals with photos. I am uploading downloadable products (images) using a CSV file. When I the upload the CSV file, some photos attach to the product and some do not. I have used proper naming convention on the CSV file and on each image, so I’m confused as to why some work and some do not.
The second issue is when the image is uploaded, the image is not selected for Thumbnail, Small Image, and Base Image in the product information section. Each image uploaded has |No image" selected for thumbnail, small image and base image. I’d like to select the image during the upload so I don’t have to go through each product after upload to change these settings.
The third issue is the exclude feature for the image. I would like to turn the exclude option on but I do not know how to set this option on the CSV file. I don’t even see this as an option on the CSV file. Hopefully someone can tell me how to use this feature on the CSV file.
The last issue facing deals with the upload of "downloadable products". I can not figure out how to upload "downloadable products" using the CSV file. I do not see it as an option on the CSV file when I export all products and options. So if someone can help me out with this item that would be awesome! Otherwise I’ll be uploading nearly 2000 images one-by-one, which I’m not looking forward to doing.

You can check in the appropriate product images folder to make sure that those images are there.

I managed to figure out the issues. The CSV file was accurate but some of the images were not named properly prior to upload. When the script processed the CSV file, the images, as a result, could not be found. After correcting the names of the image files all of the images were found and processed just fine.
I guess Magento comes with several pre-installed stores. The issue I was having with the "exclude" option was resolved after I deleted the additional stores.
